Part of gaining the reputation of The Cat Lady was due to that fact that I have five cats.  I’ve told you about Caesar, Scarlet and Cleo, but there is also Valentino and Romeo and I affectionately call them “The Boys”.

They came to us as kittens about a year after we got the other three.  Someone had abandoned them in a cardboard box next to a dumpster at my sister’s office complex.  The janitor brought them into the utility room and a few of the office workers in the building helped feed and take care of them until they found a home.  Already having three kitties, I didn’t jump on the chance to bring one home.  However, after 3 days, my sister said that they just needed to find a home for one and I gave in and took him.

That was Valentino – I fell in love with him on the way home.  He managed to work his way out of the duffle bag I carried him in and flopped over on his back and started to purr on the front seat of my car.  He was such a lover I named him Valentino.  Two days later, my sister told me that the woman that took the other one changed her mind.  I couldn’t resist and thought it would be better if Valentino stayed with his brother.  Well, OK – I’m a huge sap.  That afternoon, I drove to the woman’s house and picked up Valentino’s brother, also a lover, Romeo.
